Biggest problem in the world ? Valve leaks : A dirt cheap solution to leaks.

Did you ever experienced having a leaking   valve ? With a 6 inches in diameter ? A utility valve , cooling tower water valve  or valve for fire fighting ( line ). Especially if it happened on the wee hours or happened on after office hours when you are about to time out or just leave it to the incoming maintenance. Just let valve leaking for hours or call the attention of your engineer for some action  and will tell you to use a drum underneath it. Just wait for other day will replace the said valve ! Wow ! What a wait ? Considering the water dripping ( how much ? ), the damage on the ceiling ( acoustic board or gypsum board ) plus repainting. And the cost one unit gate valve  ( 3 to 6 inches diameter ) it's pain the ace ! Another is the installation of the replacement unit is time consuming and piping contractor is inevitable. That not all the Technical Manager will call the attention of the Technical Supervisor and maintenance man and begin to ask question , What the farce ! Do you have any idea how to solve the problem? You and your supervisor will say " replacement " Sir. And the Manager will say " Do something about it, in a costing cutting way"

The problems are :

1.  If the damaged valve is pipe utility piping. Servicing the valve got a problem just closed the nearest valve.

2. If it's a valve for the Cooling tower water line. Valve servicing the Airconding will be affected.

3. Problem is when it is in line with the fire fighting valve.
